Love?

I was 31 years old and a friend of mine at work asked me if he could read my palm. He was from Vietnam and he told me that his grandmother taught him how to read palms. I most definitely said yes.

He took my hand. He then started to put his hand over his heart and he started crying. I was thinking, OMG! I’m going to die. He looked at me and told me that his heart was hurting. He told me that I have such a good heart and it hurts him that I will never find love. He also said that I will struggle financially when I’m young but when I get older I will be financially stable.

I’m 58 and I look back on my life and he was right about everything. I struggled financially and I still do sometimes. But, I know that my son will always be there for me and I don’t worry about my elder years.

I have never had a soulmate or significant other. Yes, I was married but it wasn’t love. It was a marriage of convenience for the both of us. No love lost in that marriage.

When I see happy couples, I don’t envy them, I just wonder what it’s like to have that kind of relationship. To depend on each other and to love each other unconditionally.  I have never had any kind of relationship like that. It’s all strange to me.

There’s many different types of love. I believe that I have a wide spectrum of love. I have so much love in my life, I just don’t have lovers’ love.

Love is all around us, we just have to open our minds to it. We have to let it into our lives and embrace it. It took me many decades to understand it all. I can tell you that it’s absolutely beautiful when love is all around you.

Yes, I love your reflections, also. You are so good at speaking truthfully from your heart. I love you, and know so many other people do, too. You are spreading love to so many people.

I appreciate how you have described love in many different layers on the spectrum. I feel this is the truth. Its not just the depth of Love that defines it, its the place it holds in your heart!
