Sometimes, Something Does

Life is strange.

You can daydream.
You can imagine.
And sometimes, you can will things into existence.

A thought.
An idea.
A movement.

You can decide to change your job,
your wardrobe,
your outlook on life.

You can speak to someone,
and something you say can stay with them,
shift something in them.
And they can shift something in you.

Not everything changes.
But sometimes, something does.

A grounding thought, Ryan, thank you! No guarantees, but it’s worth noticing where I have choice, making those choices, and seeing what happens! Sometimes, something changes in the ways we hope for! A good way to start this week!

    Warmly,

    Rev. Nancy

I love this poem because it shows us that some changes are actually good and positive. So much of the time the word “change” seems to be thought of as negative, whereas the word “shift”
    feels like a positive.

Ryan, I always look forward to your reflections.

Ryan, I always look forward to your reflections. I like the idea of how our daydreams of change can come true. What a joy!
