The Ready Room: ???????

This devotion today is really just a question, and I invite you to carry it with you all day.  When you find answers surfacing from your soul, and if you are willing, I invite you to post something of what you find in our comments. Here is the question to walk with today:

In this life, what am I getting myself ready for?

I am getting ready to say goodbye to my childhood. By this I mean that I am getting ready to sell the house I grew up in. Both parents are gone and the estate has put aside no monies for its maintenance and it is time to say goodbye. The memories are with me still but saying goodbye to the house will be hard. Even though I have not lived there in over 36 years it has been such a staple in my life. The good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful are all there and come flooding back in one beat of my heart.
I am ready to sell, I am ready to move on, I am just not ready to let go of all it. The time between now and the For Sale sign in the yard will be spent deciding on how best to preserve the memories while letting go of the house. This is what I am getting ready for.
