You Are You

Life is constantly changing. Many times we know when the change will happen and many times we don’t. I guess that is life, always keeping us on our toes.

In the mornings, I will usually be seated on the swing with my Hunny ( my dog). Many times I think of how much my life has changed. Reminiscing the morning away. Well, actually about an hour. Sometimes, I smile with the wonderful memories whirling around in my mind. Other times, I’m in tears when my mind only wants to remember the bad days.

My life could be better. My life could be a lot worse. But, my life is my life. Usually, I am very grateful for all that I have.  But there are days that I just complain. I believe everyone has those days.

What I’m trying to say is to embrace your life, the good and the bad, because it’s you. You are unique and let that shine as bright as you want. Shine so bright that people have to wear sunglasses or shine just enough to light your way. It’s all up to you.

Relish the changes in your life because that is what makes you.

That is a good thing. Don’t you think so? I do!

I’m with you on that page Rita! I heard somebody describe God as all things, Good, Bad, Ugly, miraculous. It is up to all each of us in the end, and how we decide to let it settle in our lives. So many people who were Christians are no longer subject to this because they cannot reconcile why such bad things happen to good people. In that scenario the people become a “victim” of a parental type God who is wielding anger and is punitive. I just cant accept a God that would put us in a adolescent position, there is no growth if we are continuously subject to reward and punishment. We are so much more. It is our own prerogative to grow beyond, to grow Up, to find and share empathy without saying “God moves in mysterious ways” or “God has a plan” .

Yes, I think so, too! You have expressed it so well.
